California Poppy - Practice 1
A favorite Site
This has got to be my all time favorite watercolor painting site Click Here. It is a one-stop place - I kid you not!! You'll LOVE it! There are tutorials, as well as supply lists, assignments, and just everything you can imagine!! Enjoy!!
First Kit Arrives!
I finally got my first painting assignment kit. Yay! It's called "Poppies and Daisies" - It came with links to some video tutorials as well. I'm happy to see. I do things so much better when I see how the technique is done first hand. I'm a "visual" learner.
I'm actually going to do only one flower on a scrap paper to start - practicing the techniques that way rather than attempting the final painting on the paper they send right away.
I love the brushes that came in the free gift bundle, but I think it was poor planning for them not to include a palette knife in it. I hate ruining the base of brushes mixing colors that way. A PT would be better for the longevity of the brushes. IMHO, of course.
I'll post a pic of the finished test flower later :-P
